Sizing and Geometry

We have increased our size range to 54-58. We are offering 1mm increments within that range. Other variables are bottom bracket height, chainstay length, and seat-tube/head-tube angles.

Unlike most companies, our sizes are measured by the effective top tube. We do this because it’s the most important measurement on the bike. So when comparing our frame sizing to others, be sure to use either the effective top-tube length or stack/reach to make sure you’re comparing apples to apples.

Layup Options

One of the most exciting additions to this year’s LeadOut is multiple layup options, including a custom layup. Now part of customizing your Pursuit is choosing the perfect layup for you. Our layups are designed to optimize weight and stiffness while taking into account impact resistance and vibration damping.

  • The Rouleur is designed for fast, all-day riding. The most comfortable layup option, it offers a smooth ride with excellent vibration damping. Located in the middle of the weight range, the Rouleur provides a good, stiff platform for out-of-the-saddle efforts without sacrificing comfort when seated.
  • If you’re a hammer, crit racer, or someone that regularly throws down 1,000-plus watts, the Sprinter is the layup for you. We add Kevlar to the Sprinter’s top tube and seat stay to further strengthen areas that are prone to damage in a crash.
  • Our lightest layup is the Climber, which can dip below 700 grams on smaller, unpainted frames. We build it with a blend of exotic fibers for lightness and stiffness and further shave weight by focusing on the small parts that can add up—cable guides, bottle bosses, etc.
  • We also take orders for Custom layups for those looking to bring key features from one option to another and address the needs of heavier or lighter riders.

Paint

We have a new branding package that includes a head badge available in three sizes, Pursuit logo on the seat stay, layup decal on the seat tube and PURSUIT painted on the down tube. You can opt to have any, all, or none of these logos included on your frame. Branding is painted and a single custom color is included in the base price of the frame.

Also now included in the base price of the frame is just about any single main color you can imagine. This year we have also created several optional custom paint schemes you can choose from, and last year’s LeadOut paint schemes are still available.

Pricing

In the previous two versions, we included all frame options at a single price. For this model, we have stripped away the options, allowing you to choose only those features that are important to you. In doing so, we have also added to the number of build kits available.

The starting price for frame, fork, King headset and King BB is based on layup and includes one color paint job.

Rouleur – $4,800
Sprinter – $5,200
Climber – $5,800
Custom – $6,200

Full bikes start at $7,985.

A $1,000 deposit gets you in the queue. Upon receiving your deposit, we will contact you via email to set up an interview and guide you through the ordering process.
